[...] The first time I heard the phrase “Cookie Diet” was a few years ago. I immediately tuned out after hearing the phrase. Back then, I was an obese man still trying to figure out how to lose weight. The idea that a diet can be centered on cookies was outrageous to me. I tuned-out and forgot all about the Cookie Diet, that is until a review of the Cookie Diet popped up on the blog Lazy Man and Health. [...]

I agree that many healthy diets don't work because people just get too hungry to control their urges. This is the main reason I promote eating every three hours;it allows us to eat healthy food without being hungry and still lose weight (if that is the goal).

I can see how the idea of eating cookies has great appeal. I'm going to look into the nutriotional content of these "cookies" to learn more about them.

Good post!

"It didn’t take long for the cookie diet to become one of the most popular diets of the world."

Actually, it took 33 years. I created Dr. Siegal's COOKIE DIET in 1975 and treated more than 500,000 patients with it before deciding a year ago to launch www.CookieDiet.com and make my cookies and shakes available to the general public. Last Friday, August 29th, the most-searched term on AOL.com was "sarah palin". The second? "dr. siegal's cookie diet". Obviously, it's been quite a year for us.

The reason for our success is simple. Our cookies do exactly what we claim they do: control your hunger so you can stick to your diet.

Thank you for blogging about Dr. Siegal's COOKIE DIET.
