Quantcast Some Early Week Links (Napa Edition)

Some Early Week Links (Napa Edition)

Comment First

This past weekend I went to Napa with my wife and a friend. I have to admit that I had a few too many drinks, ate a little too much food, and got less exercise than I should have. I’ve got buckle down hard over the next couple of weeks. In about ten days, I’m going away to Australia and Thailand and might be a similar situation – too much extra stuff going on and not as much focus on health.

Here are some links that I enjoyed from last week:

  • Israel is experiencing Consistent Weekly Weight Loss: 1 More Pound Lost. I’m still trying to figure out the photoshop trick.
  • Deflabbify is is able to get a 403% burn rate on Wii Fit Basic Run. I need to spend a little more time with the Wii Fit. It’s been gathering a little bit of dust lately.
  • J.D. is still Getting Fit Slowly, choosing to get some walks in while his leg is healing. I twisted my ankle a few weeks ago and I have to recommend swimming. For some reason, after each swim it felt like a million dollars.
  • Did you know that Michael Phelps Consumes 12,000 A Day? I had read 10,000 recently and was going to write an article about it. Since I’m Lazy, and Jim already has the article, just read his. If it helps pretend I wrote it ;-) .
  • Fit36 looks like he’s repeating Week 5 of his hundred pushup plan. I think I’ve almost completely given up on the program. I can’t seem to convince myself to do pushups any more. I think if the program was going to be successful for me, it would build a day of non-pushup exercise.
  • Weight Loss Journal has a 2.2 pound weight gain this week. It sounds like he’s got a great plan
  • NCN has found the Become A Swimmer. As I said earlier, I can’t recommend swimming enough. I’m glad that NCN has realized how good it is.

I was also honored to be included in a couple of carnivals including The Twenty First Edition of the Carnival of Improving Life, Weight Management and Fitness Forum, and FitBuff’s Total Mind and Fitness Carnival.
