Some Tips on How to Avoid Germs

Comment First

Prevention magazine has a few tips to avoid germs. The article is a little old, but the information is relevant.

One of the suggestions is to “Flick switches with the side of your hand or wrist, which makes you less likely to pick up or pass along germs on your hands.” As much as I like to avoid germs, I’m not sure I’m going to go through with this one.

I’m a little surprised that keeping your hands off of railings when going up and down stairs didn’t make the list. Not only will it keep the germ away, but without the railing to assist you, it’s more work. More work means more calories burned and when it’s done as often as climbing stairs can really add up.
