I Pre-Ordered a Wii Fit

I got an e-mail from Amazon letting me know that the Wii Fit is available for pre-order - due to come out May 21st. After discussing it with my wife, we decided that at $90 we would purchase it. It’s a very pricey for a game, but when you think of it as entertainment and fitness equipment in one package, the price seemed fair.

We’ve been looking forward to the release of the Nintendo Wii Fit in the United States. There are times when my wife works late - the last thing she wants to do is go to the gym. However, there’s a good chance that we’ll fire up the Wii and play a few of the games. As a bonus, the Wii Fit will keep track of our weight and BMI and graph it over time.

I can’t wait for it.

Very cool! I’m eager to hear your first impressions. I was tempted to order it, but thought I’d wait to hear some reactions first.

I love the Wii Fit idea, but I’m a little skeptical about just how much exercise you can get out of it- hopefully a lot! :)

This game looks really interesting. I have a Wii but currently only have the game that came with it. On the one hand, this game makes me think to myself, “Just go outside,” but on the other it makes sense. It especially makes sense if you live somewhere like Seattle, where it’s not always nice outside every day. :)

Ones in a while I try to bribe myself into more physical activities and I buy myself a simple add-ons. The latest were some weights and hola hoop. How many times I used them until I gave up and returned them to the store? Ones or twice in two months.

What did work for me? Three times a week at 9 am I am at a free group excesise class offered by a local hospital.

Most of the people in it are seniors. We actually have a couple of people over 100 years old. (Obviously, most younger folks are at work at 9 am and I don’t have to work mornings.)

I never miss those classes, unless I have an emergency. Somehow it does motivates me when I see those older folks kicking there legs up high week after week.
