[...] This past weekend my wife and I went to the Gilroy Garlic Festival. There was some pretty crazy traffic and a pile of people there. The other things of note were the large amounts of arts and crafts and children’s activities - neither of which we were interested. The oppressive heat cut our stay pretty short, but not before we sampled some garlic ice cream (think vanilla with slight garlic aftertaste), pickled garlic (okay to try once, but I can’t imagine eating it on a regular basis), and the garlic fries (the garlic-to-fry ratio was simply absurd). I will garlic coming out of my pours for the next few days. It’s a good thing that I recognize the health benefits of garlic. [...]

Garlic has been very helpful to me lately! I've been trying to eat it fresh at least once a day. I found out about the benefits of garlic from a home remedies book, then came across this site and decided I should start taking it for my congestion and more-frequent-than-usual colds. I found a trick for those who find garlic too strong to eat: try stooping some chopped up garlic in tea with sugar & honey! Hides the strong taste and doesn't linger on your breath as much :)
