Food of the Week: Low Carb, High Fiber Tortillas |
1 Comment |
I’ve made the low carb, high fiber tortilla a staple of my diet. There’s a large difference between various types of tortillas. You can large ones that are over 200 calories, most of them from carbs. I stay away from those and look for low carb ones. The supermarkets in northern California carry La Tortilla Factory’s Low Carb Tortillas which are exactly what I was looking for.
When you look at the nutritional label of those tortillas, it’s not too hard to see what I love about them. At only 50 calories, it’s not going to tip the scales. With 6 grams of protein and 7 grams of fiber, it’s very healthy. The net carbs, for those on a low carb diet, weigh in at just 3 grams. There are 0 grams of sugar. While there are two grams of fat, there are no saturated or trans fats – you are just getting mostly the good fats. The tortillas are not a significant source of vitamins.
It’s pretty rare that my fiancée and I keep bread in the home anymore. We use these tortillas as wraps and feel healthier because of the decision.

Hello, thanks so much for your information and we definitely agree that we love The La Tortilla Factory Low Carb/High Fiber Tortillas too!
We have been faithful consumers (actually most days we have at least 2 of these wraps) of The La Tortilla Factory Low Carb/High Fiber Tortillas. We use the wraps for all of our meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner although can be also used for snacks (you just have to get creative).
If you are interested, we list one of our favorite recipes (Italian Pizza) and will continue to list more on our site.
Thanks and look forward to reading more!
