The Lazy Philosophy
People ask me if I’m really as Lazy as I claim to be. I often answer, yes, but with two qualifications. There are lot of times were I purposely try to be lazy. It makes me think of the most efficient way to do something. For instance, I might be too Lazy to drive to McDonalds every day and fill on double cheeseburgers. Instead, I think about how I’m going to plan my meals at the beginning of the week. With a little thought, I can make meals in batches allowing me maximal time to do the things that I really want to do.
Applying the Lazy Philosophy
It’s pretty easy to be Lazy, anyone can do it. In fact, most people do. It’s much harder to be Lazy and healthy. It requires planning ahead. It requires education. If I read that the body has to work harder to burn protein, and hence fewer actual calories are stored as fat, I’m going to eat more protein. If I read that carbs raise insulin levels which triggers the body to store fat, I’m going to avoid carbs. It’s knowledge like this that can really help you if you want to be Lazy.
What if I don’t want to be Lazy?
That’s fine too. If you work harder, you’ll get results quicker. That’s not a negative thing, right?
